TIDA-00120: Drill Sizes

Part Number: TIDA-00120

Greetings,

I have a small inquiry about the drill sizes in the reference design TIDA-00120.

In the .drl file, it is written in the notes "Hole diameters shown are finished sizes after plating unless otherwise specified".

However, the tool table shows the same sizes that are written in red.

Does it mean that I have to modify the tool table and increase the size of holes to take into account the plating thickness? or is there another list that I can find to determine the drill bits that I have to use for this design?

Thank you

  • Abdel,

I'm not sure what you mean by "written in red". The gerber files do not contain any color information, just layer art.

In regards to your question, however, the drill table reports the final hole size. The fabrication house is responsible for using the correct size bit to make the hole so that the final plated diameter matches the table.
