TINA/Spice/LM48556: Error when importing SPICE model of LM84556 into TINA

Part Number: LM48556
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

Dears,

When I import SPICE model of LM84556 into TINA, I met an error.

It pops up warning that "Missing number at line : #35".

I download this SPICE model from our website.

www.ti.com/.../toolssoftware

Does this mean that TINA don't support the SPICE model of LM84556? Can I use this SPICE model get a TINA simulation model?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Regards,

Ricardo

  • Ricardo,

I'll send you an email to address this.

    Thanks,
    JC

  • Hi Ricardo,

Primary observation is the spice model file on web is encrypted and we cannot import it to TINA.
You would require unencrypted model to import into TINA-TI. I will be closing out this thread and mail you internally.

Also the error in TINA you observed is because the line(which is a comment) is not started with '*'.
This works in PSPICE and may not work in TINA.
