WEBENCH® Tools/TPS61236P: simulation result difference

Hello,

I want to test the IC TPS61236P for my project requirement , while i simulate the reference design it shows schematic in simulation window without load connected also current source connected to it.. while actual schematic is with load as shown in attachment image 1..

so the problem is during simulation i get IRload equals to current source value but if i copy the same design and simulate it then the graph shows 0.25Amps curent at the load..

why the reference design is showing that current source in place of Load???

Hi Sneha,

For start-up testbench we use resistive load and for steady state test bench current source is used as load.

If you want to use Rload as the load in the schematic , try simulating the start-up testbench/2step-startbench.

Please refer the below image for different test benches.

Hi Atul,

Here in copied design there is no option to select simulation type as you can see in the attachment..

Hi Sneha,

Could you please share the design condition for which you are observing this ?

You can also share the design to the mail id atul_k@ti.com using the "Share Design" option .

Hi Sneha,

Seems like you have used "EDIT" feature in WEBENCH. There is no option currently available to Simulate different test-benches for Edited schematic.

You can only simulate "Start-up" test-bench with Edit feature.
