TINA/Spice/SN55LBC174: IBIS Models

Is it acceptable to simulate signals from an SN55LBC174FK using the IBIS model for SN75LBC174DW?

    Hi Kevin,

    There is no model for the SN75LBC174 device. There is an IBIS model for the SN75LBC174A. These are different devices, with similar functionality.

    Given the differences in the specs in the datasheets, using the 174A IBIS model in place of the 174 would NOT provide accurate simulation results.

    They might be generally correct, but could lead to errors in your board design.

    For this reason, I do not recommend using the 174A IBIS model as a substitute for the SN55LBC174 device.
