TIDA-00951: Reg. testing of developed board

Part Number: TIDA-00951

Hi !

We are testing the developed TIDA-00951 for 2 kW. Have some doubts regarding the testing conditions:

1) Its been told to take a DC source of 0-60 V instead of a battery. How will it be possible to test the CC / CV charging modes if we do not connect a battery ?

2) What is the maximum battery current during charging and discharging modes? Up to how many Amps should the battery current be regulated in both the modes?

thanks

Swathika

  • Hi Swathika,

I would not advice you to connect to a battery while bringing up the board for the first time.

1)To mimic the battery use a DC Power supply, connect a resistive load in parallel and use a diode in series. Please see the referece image attached. Use the resistor the vary the battery charging current. In the backup mode increase the value of this resistor so that it takes very low current.

    2) Max current during charging 16A and Max current during dis-charging 60A.
