TIDA-01605: UCC21520QDWRQ1 Disable Pin

Part Number: TIDA-01605
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC21521

In TIDA-01605 SCH, UCC21520QDWRQ1 PIN 5 is labeled as "EN", but in UCC21520QDWRQ1 datasheet pin 5 is "DISABLE". Also this pin is defaulted to be high after power up which actually disables the output signal and I have to short pin 5 to ground to enable the output. Is it supposed to work like this or it's a typo during symbol creation?

  • Hi Jinju,

Sorry for the confusion. This is an typo during symbol creation in the Altium. The datasheet is correct. We adapt the circuit design for "EN" and "DIS" both cases. Some of our drivers for example UCC21521 configures this pin as "EN". Please populate shunt resistor R31 and remove R30 , Q4 and R32 as shown below to invert the logic.
