I would like to use my model in a floating ground application such as a Buck device in inverting buck boost configuration. However the model does not seem to support this behavior. Can you clarify how this can be simulated?

    As a general rule, all ground nodes in TI's switching power spice models are internally connected to 0V. Hence even if you disconnect the ground nodes from 0V externally, you will still see 0V on this pin. This limits the models to be used in non inverting applications only (only positive values of Vout.  This is purely a model limitation and does not reflect the part's capability.

    We have recently enabled some of our models to be used in inverting topology by removing this limitation from the models. If a model does support use in an inverting topology, it will be explicitly mentioned in the project files and/or an inverting application simulation setup will be available.
