TINA/Spice/LM5141-Q1: Webench to TINA AC analysis

Hi Team,

I have been evaluating the LM5141-Q1 in Webench and see that Webench produces a loop response curve. I would like to also evaluate this in TINA, so I exported the Sim to TINA. Once in TINA, I had to change the input voltage to a step function (because TINA could not read what Webench created as the input voltage) and then I went to AC Analysis -> AC Transfer Characteristics, and ran the simulation. However, what is produce is not a simple loop response of the system, it produces a bunch of curves to analyze every aspect of the circuit.

Would it be possible to provide direction as to how to obtain just the loop response in TINA based upon what is exported from Webench?

Hi Jared,

Most likely it has something to do with parametric sweep. Check Analysis -> Mode and click on "Single".

Hopefully the above will resolve your challenge. If not, alternatively, you can just copy paste the "schematic" (NOT copy paste the file) from the old file to a new fresh TINA session/file.

Hi Herman,

Neither of the suggestions above seemed to make a difference. I went ahead and downloaded the Webench file to TINA and only changed the input to a unit step function up to 18V. Can you please take a look at the attached file and see if you can get a proper loop response?

Jared,

The AC simulation is not supported in WEBENCH for this device and it does not have a frequency domain model for you to look at the loop response in TINA.
