TIDA-00378: connecting TIDA-00378 with RF Transceiver

Hi,

I am working on monitoring of PM2.5/PM10 parameters of air. To implement such system,I am thinking of using TI Design TIDA-00378. Is it possible to connect this design with CC1200 or any other RF transceiver to transmit results of tests over distance of 5-10 km?

Yes, it is possible. Although you may want to consider using an MCU+Radio device like the CC1310. The MSP code included in the project can ported to the MCU on the CC1310 so the MSP430 would no longer be needed. The result can be transmitted wirelessly using the radio on the CC1310.

How can I transmit data obtained from sensor node by using CC1310? Is there any kind of requirement of antenna,module if I have to transmit data over a distance of 10 km?

You could evaluate such an approach using a CC1310 LaunchPad (www.ti.com/.../LAUNCHXL-CC1310). That development platform will have all the hardware you need. You can check https://dev.ti.com/ for example projects which you can modify for your needs.
