Hello,
Are there any predefined tests for this board that you can share with me? Just wanted to test the board without damaging it.
Thanks,
Patryk

Patryk,
The bring up procedure is fairly straightforward. Apply power via the barrel jack (I use an 18V adapter, but it has a 15-60V input range) and all the rails should power up. There are LEDs to indicate the 3.3V, 5V, and isolated supply operations on the board.
While running your test code until we release the full source, be sure to verify the PWM signals with a multichannel scope before installing the gate driver card and applying main DC input. The gate drive card requires a 500kHz complimentary square wave from GPIO 10 and 11 on the DSP to drive the power supplies in an open loop mode. When running, you should validate the bias voltages for all the channels to ensure the FETs and IGBTs are driven correctly.
When you do start working with open loop output, slowly ramp the DC input and watch the current draw (be sure to current limit the supply to a very low value). If the supply goes into over current, that could indicate a short in the control sequence or on the board that will need to be fixed. The input voltage can slowly be ramped from there to ensure proper operation. The voltage sensing on the DSP should be validated at this time as well.
Once no load is validated, a resistive load can be attached, and again slowly ramped up in power to validate the output capability. The current sensing should be checked at this time to ensure correct operation for the work in closed-loop control.
Please let me know if there are any other bring up tests you are interested in or have specific questions about.
Regards,
Bart
