TIDA-01097: TIDA-01097 Is theEVM board available?

Part Number: TIDA-01097

At present, many customers are currently evaluating the tida-01097 single-fire power extraction scheme:

1. Whether there are successful cases?

2. If there is a better scheme to recommend, it is better to provide EVM boards?

3.Provide some single-fire plans for TI

Than kyou very much.

  • 1. Whether there are successful cases?

This reference design is very interesting to many customers because it ensures that the earth current is limited to 0.5 mA in neutral less lighting control (switches and  dimmers) applications and still delivering sufficient power for proper operation of wireless module. Yes, there are couple of success stories for this design and this reference design was shipped to several customers for evaluation.

    2. If there is a better scheme to recommend, it is better to provide EVM boards?

This is most common scheme for lighting control in retrofit applications where neutral wire may or may not be present. In such cases, the lighting control unit has to be powered by connecting the unit between the hot wire (line terminal) and the earth wire or ground terminal. If you wish to evaluate this reference design, please provide shipping address.

    3. Provide some single-fire plans for TI

What do you mean by "single-fire"? Is this a typo-error and trying to refer to "single-wire"?

    Thanks,

    Surya
