TINA/Spice/TPS2491: LTSpice model

Part Number: TPS2491
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

Is it possible to modeI this part in LTSPICE? I see that you have encrypted models for PSPICE and TINA-TI, but I'm not having success running them in LTSPICE.

  • Hi Jarod,

    Welcome to E2E!

We are unable to provided our models for LTSpice. We can share the unencrypted model if you wish and you are free to import it into any tool of your choice. Please submit your request for the unencrypted model here (use the email option).

In my opinion though it may be more time consuming to import these models into your tool. TI also provides a free simulator (TINA-TI) and this simulation has already been setup in that tool. You may want to give it a try as well. It may get you up and running faster.

  • I just requested the unencrypted model by email.

I understand that you provide models for TINA, but I (and many others in my company) use LTSPICE for a wide variety of simulations, and cannot migrate everything over. So it is best if I can get unencrypted models to import into LTSPICE. I've done this before with other TI parts, but those were parts for which TI provided both encrypted and unencrypted models.
