I need to design a dc-dc (booster step up) starting from a liion battery 3.7V with an output (not isolated) of 80V and 80ma.

Webench doesn't find a solution … what do you suggest me.

Hi.

I tried with LM3488 with 3-4.2V 80V 80mA the answer:

But i see in report design that input is 3.7 and not from 3V and 4.2V...consider the discharge of battery…

Also I note an error with lm3488q1

Hi Mario,

The same device can be used for input voltage Vmin=3V to VinMax=4.2V . But design cannot be created on WEBENCH due to unavailability of suitable MOSFET in WEBENCH database.Please use the appropriate MOSFET as per your application.

I could choose BSZ520N15NS3 G (150V 21A)… but the value of components around LM3488 don't change ?

HI Mario,

The value of external components is calculated based on input and output conditions. In this case, you are selecting the alternate MOSFET for same input conditions, The suitable MOSFET on WEBENCH are available for minimum Vin=3.5V. As you reduce the input Voltage to 3V, design cannot be created due unavailability of MOSFETs. Please refer the datasheet to calculate the value of external components as per your application.

Hi Mario,

Thanks for your feedback. Currently, you cannot create a design on WEBENCH for the above conditions. However, we will add the ideal FET feature for this device so you can create a design for the same.

We will add the ideal FET for this device soon. However, it will take the more time since we need to change the component selection in code and validation of the same. We will inform you once this is added.

Sorry...i tried but webench doesn't give any solutions now… i put 3-4 volt input (min max) and 80V 0.08 A out (my step up) ...after some minutes webench says non solutions…
