TINA/Spice/LM237: Help needed adding more models

Hi,

I was using the "Find a component" tool in TINA and the TI WEBENCH SpiceRack Device Model Search, and it seems that the two component model lists are different for me. I downloaded TINA somewhat recently so I cant imagine my program is out of date. So my question really is: Is there a way to update my component list in the TINA program that I have? (e.g. SpiceRack has the LM237 listed but I cant find it using the "Find a component" tool).

Nick,

Please use the ones that show up on TI.com directly (same as those that show up in the link below). These are the ones that are regularly updated. The ones built into TINA-TI have not been updated for a while.

Ok I will but my follow up question then is: after I've downloaded one of the model's zip files where do I store that so my program recognizes a new model has been added?

You can just click on "Insert Macro" and point to the TSM file that you want to import. If you are new to TINA-TI, kindly consider going through the short video training link below.

The LM337 only has 2 models and neither link provides a TSM file upon download (not even CIR/LIB/MOD) even when I try using the New Macro Wizard it doesnt seem to find it. I'm looking specifically at the "LM337-N Unencrypted PSpice Transient Model" link (and I guess technically it's a LIB file) but the New Macro Wizard should see that shouldnt it?

I think I figured it out. The folder wasnt visible but as soon as I took out the LIB file and moved it to my desktop the New Macro Wizard could find it and then I was able to use the Insert Macro from there.
