To John Fullilove

The question is, what component values are causing the failure of the Hiccup Mode and causing it to not operate when Io is greater than ~ 3A. Also, how to fix the output of the supply does not recovering automatically after an overload condition is removed?

  • Hi Jerry,
You can refer to the data sheet "8.2.2.2 Line Current-Limit Feedforward". In that descriptions, the value of "Current Sense Resistor" is the component that to decide the "Over Load(Current) Protection" of output. Also refer to the data sheet "8.2.2.2.1 Overvoltage Protection". you might trig the OVP so that can not recovery even you remove the output current.
