TINA/Spice/TPS563201: The simulation value and experimental value mismatch

Part Number: TPS563201
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hi Team,

The plot below is TPS563201's Tina simulation of start up.
The soft start value is about 455 us.

Below is start up waveform on tps563201 EVM user's guide.
The soft start value is 1 ms.

The simulation value does not fit the measurement result.
What's the differences between the simulation model and real circuit?

Thanks!

  • Hi Jamie,

In the macro model, you will find a parameter as "MODE", you can make it as '0' to observe actual soft start time. The soft start time is internally modified to reduce simulation time and reach steady state faster.

    Thanks,

    Ayon
