TINA/Spice/LMR23625-Q1: Capacitor Temperature Coefficient Imported

Part Number: LMR23625-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI,

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

Different capacitor type has quite different temperature coefficient
and it can cause some issue when not considering circuit operating
environment fully. Could the capacitor temperature coefficient be
imported in TINA-TI?

  • Hi Edward,

Please follow the below steps for temperature coefficient modelling of a capacitor in TINA:

    1. Double-click on the Capacitor and a window will pop up as shown below.

2.Capacitor has linear(TC1) and quadratic (TC2) temperature coefficients marked in red coloured boxes

where TC1= linear temperature coefficient,Defines the linear temperature dependence of the device.

and TC2=quadratic temperature coefficient,Defines the quadratic temperature dependence of the device.

If the temperature coefficients are set then the effective capacitance is given by the formula:

Please note : Temperature effects are not modeled in LMR23625-Q1.

    Best Regards,

    Ashis
