TINA/Spice/LM324: Using Spice model and multiple parts on Kicad - ?

Part Number: LM324
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI, , TLV6004

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

I know this question may have been asked already (possibly vaguely similar). Is there a Simulation model for the LM324 Quad package? What Iam facing when I use the model drawn from Ti's spice reference is that I am using a model with only 5 pins. In that event, how can we use KiCAD to model the three other parts in the LM324? Is this even possible with the model taken from here

Is there a document on how to model both the footprint and the simulation? Note that the same question may apply for a TLV6004 too.

Thanks in advance,

Rahul

  • Hi Rahul,

To make any single part model into quad, you can always put them in parallel such as this:
    .subckt part_quad pin1 pin2 pin3 ....
    X1 pin1 pin2 pin3 pin4 pin5 part_single
    X2 pin6 pin7 pin8 ...
    X3 ...
    X4 ...
    .ends

For the footprint, you can always visit the "Quality & Packaging" section of our product, and then click or scroll down to CAD/CAE Symbols such as this:
    www.ti.com/.../pinout-quality
