Not a good start for the new year...Cannot get WEBENCH to run at all! Flash and everything in order, as is firefox 46.....Parameters entered are well within box specifications, and yet on the fault shows 99999 which is completely wrong. Where to start ?

  • .... Basic setup using UCC24624 full bridge phase shifted design; Vin min 250VDC max 360VDC; Vout 40V, Iout 37.5A. F = 75KHz . Currently considering 100KHz operation, with ferrite fiddling. The values entered are within the design parenthesis given....Highly tempted to use the IC as to drive mosfets directly.
    Something appears to create an error with the program ? Not sure what it is.

    Thanks for reaching out to us. UCC24624 supports output power of upto 1KW, hence the WEBENCH failed to create design for your condition which is demanding output power of 1.5KW. Below is the Datasheet snapshot FYR. Kindly let us know in case of any queries.

  • I see, you have not given me any wiggle room. My immediate temptation to avoid tying on extra mosfet drivers is to examine lower charge IGBT's considering the relatively low frequency 75KHz, but like all compromises, at the current 40A the Vce drop/dissipation alone is more than a power Schottky diode. Funeral.         I could go lower on circuit current but that leaves 'nothing' reserved for surges.

    However it would be useful if the program could flag up the power excess problem considering 40 A is shown as a parameter, and allowed me to carry on without flagging the power issue.  I realize my app is a mere singleton compared to the plethora of other designs out there.
