PMP7760: Alternative Flyback Transformer

Part Number: PMP7760

Hi,

I have a unique automotive system in which I'm trying to drive high powered LEDs (Around 6W in total, possibly 9W) using a 510V input. The LED driving side needs to be isolated.

The reference design I found (PMP7760) seems all good except in the bill of materials there seems to be one part namely the Flyback Transformer (Part Number G094215LF) by Gci Technologies that is virtually non-existant anymore. It is not available anywhere I checked.

My question is:  Q1: Are there any alternatives that you can suggest that would work in this case? I have access to the data-sheet (posted on a previous thread on this forum), I just need info on if TI has any other reccomendations on what I could use instead of the G094215LF.

Q2: Is it possible to find a flyback transformer that would replace the G094215LF but provide an output at 12V instead?

  • Hi Alfred,

Thanks for reaching out with your question.

Currently there is not a suggested replacement for this transformer. It might be possible to contact GCI and check the availability of this this transformer. GCI should have a suggested replacement. The other option is to contact another magnetic vendor and see if there is a similar transformer.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Garrett
