TINA/Spice/TINA-TI: a Electrical device library that is neither TINA_TI library nor Spice library

Part Number: TINA-TI

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

l read TINA_TI manuals.

But there is no explanation for a Electrical device library that is neither TINA_TI library nor Spice library.

I want to use CDBB2100-G for simulation.

  • Hi Kwan,

First gather all the characteristics curve by going through the Datasheet of CDBB2100-G then you can build Schottky Diode by Options as described below.

    Option1:

Please do the following steps to build a Schottky  Diode of your requirement:

    1. Go to Pspice model editor and click on File menu followed by New Menu:

2.A window like below will pop up:

3.Then click on Model Menu followed by New and you will end up with a window as shown below:

4.Now type Schottky Diode name in Model name box and click on OK.

5.Now you will find a window like below:

6.Now you can insert different parameter values in the Parameters box and prepare a Schottky Diode of your requirement.

    Option2:

Also you can find a number of Schottky Diodes available in TINA-TI by clicking on Semiconductors Menu as shown below:

    Hope this will help you.

    Best Regards,

    Ashis

  • I went on as you explained. Then I got a lib file.
What should I do after option1. six step?
  • Hi Kwan,
You can create a macro for the diode in TINA-TI using the generated lib file and use it in your schematic. If you are not aware of this procedure you can refer to the video #1.9 in TINA-TI video training series.

    Thanks,
