TINA/Spice/UCC28180: Using transient model in Pspice

Part Number: UCC28180
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI,

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hi,

I am trying to do transient analysis using UCC28180 in OrCAD Capture CIS 17.2-2016 Lite.

  • I am not able to add the transient model directly since the .olb file is not provided for the transient model.
  • While trying to open the .lib file downloaded from UCC28180 TINA-TI Transient Spice Model using ModelEditor, the following error pops us, "saving new models to it will destroy any of its original models, since the library does not contain any models".
  • I tried removing the _trans from library name, as mentioned in a thread in OrCad webite, it still throws the same error.
  • I tried to export model using model editor, and converted .lib to .olb. While adding this .olb in OrCAD, no associated part is shown.
  • I require transient model since average model doesn't have VCC and FREQ pins - which is required for transient analysis.

How can this be solved? Please provide step-by-step procedure for the solution.

Regards,

Lakshmi
