Hi,

We have to create the test cases to test the M4 processor and we need your 4135.safety_goals_MAN_MMT_2020.xlsxsupport on testing the functionality. I am attaching the .xls document which i have to verify. We will discuss in detail in weekly meeting.

Hi Sunil,

Can you give some more details:
- which SDK you use?
- what is the device you use (TDAx, DRAx, ...)?
- is it TI's EVM or a custom board?

[SUNIL] - Vision SDK 3.4

[SUNIL] - We use DRA7xx

I did not get much idea after looking into the xlxs file.
And there is lot of test and resolving all of then in a single thread is not possible.

Please find the attached xls document and refer the column C & E for the comments and test cases Mapping.

Apart from the test cases we have few questions on testing the M4 processor.

1) What is the hardware setup at TI?

2) Can we use the network commands on M4 processor(in Harman environment)?

3) Will an SDK be provided using which Harman can develop an application to utilize some of the commands in TI test suite?

1) What is the hardware setup at TI?
All testcases have been tested on an EVM for all TDA boards.

2) Can we use the network commands on M4 processor(in Harman environment)?
yes, until your host and target are in same network. You can use that if you are running VSDK BIOS on A15
For A15 running linux, You can not have noetwork stack on M4, it will be on A15.

3) Will an SDK be provided using which Harman can develop an application to utilize some of the commands in TI test suite?
We already have our all released SDK version on our website. You can download that.

Hello Anju,

Thank you for the response. Could you also please check the Attached excel sheet and refer the column C and E.

Column "C" is the test cases we have mapped with TI test cases and the Empty columns are we have not found the relevant test case.Please check and let us know your feedback for the attached document2553.TI_Analysis_safety_goals.xlsx.

Please fine your answer below
Q1.1.How to create buffer drops without modifying the software.
You can use NullSrc decode display usecase where you have to read data at higher FPS (40-50FPS) and and use file dumping option in usecase instead of free run.(File dumping or free run option you will get while running the usecase, increasing the FPS you have to change in usecase. )

Q.2.1. How can we load the M4?
You can load M4 by creating a chain which has a lot of processing links and or increase FPS of any usecase.

Q.3.1. How can we crash the M4 (Kernel corruption)?
First thing its not a kernel. It runs sysbios.
You can close this when you will hit any assert condition.
There are lot of assert condition in VSDK which is kind of a error check before proceeding to processing.
