TIDA-010015: PHB limit setting guidelines

Hi Everyone ,

Can anyone help here to understand how to set the PHB threshold limit. seems like the datasheet guideline bit confuse to understand. I want to set PHB limit to 20% of my load . Now my question is, manually calculated upper and lower resistor value not matched with the online calculator (excel sheet provided for calculation)

Please advise the correct step and what im missing here?

Hi Balasubramani,

The calculation is quite straightforward: It is a potential divider equating the COMP pin voltag to a threshold, below which the controller will skip one phase. There is provision to set different phase skip levels at high as well as low input voltage ranges.

Please use the excel file calculated values. They are correct. It looks like that there is an error in equation 10 given in the datasheet. I think you should remove Vref from the denominator.
