TINA/Spice/TPS61170: Simulation of TPS61170 as Buck boost converter

Part Number: TPS61170
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI,

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hi,

I am trying to simulate TPS61170 part using Tina in Buck-Boost configuration (SEPIC configuration) as shown in the below.

I have configured to generate an output voltage of 12 Volts for the input voltage range of 9 V to 15 Volts.

In Buck configuration, simulation does not work i.e it is only showing 5.59 Volts as output with the input voltage of 15 Volts.

In Boost configuration , simulation somewhat works as it is giving an output of 11.54 Volts (desired output value is 12 Volts) at the input voltage of 9 Volts.

what could be reason for this IC not giving 12 Volts always irrespective of input voltage ?? Am I missing something in the simulation ?

Look forward to your feedback at the earliest.

Thanks in Advance!

Regards,

Rajesh K
