Hi Everyone

Good Day!!

Can you help us to have the datasheet for the custom magnetics used in TIDA-010015 model like Transformer and Inductor.

Reference number -L1,L4,L6,L7,T1.The following components are not found anywhere .

Hi Salil,

Shall i use the same part for our design ? seems like the values mentioned in the BOM and datasheet are different, Please advise .

If we need any more customization do we have any option in the local manufacturer as per your knowledge? .

Hi Salil/Ram,

Can you check and confirm the PFC inductor arrangement in this design . It is like primary and secondary winding having opposite polarity arrangement in the schematic but the available datasheet it is different.

Cross verified with other design like TIDA-01495 model the wiring is different . Please explain the concept of wiring connection in the design with respect to ZCD setup. Do we need any special arrangement in the inductor. Please advise.

Hi Balasubramani,

The polarity shown in schematic is correct. The schematic pin numbers assume a 4-pin inductor, but the practical inductor is a multi pin bobbin. So the pin numbers are different. The layout is as per the actual inductor.

Hi Salil

Please have a look at the datasheet as per your suggestion, the primary and secondary side polarity in same side. shall i use as it is ? or do i need to ask supplier to do some customization as per the schematic diagram (polarity and arrangement structure )

Please advise if it is ok to connect like this

Hi Balasubramani,

It is not important how we draw the part in the schematic. What is important is that the node corresponding to the drain be connected to the ZCD pin. In a bobbin wound core, it is a good practise to start the winding with the high voltage switching node, so that this node will get shielded by the windings that follow. this will help in reducing EMI.

Since the drain node is the start of the main winding, the ZCD pin connection should be to the start of the auxiliary winding. This is how the schematic shows it. The way the windings are drawn in schematic is not important. What is important is how the windings are made in the physical inductor, and how we connect it in the ciruit.
