I am trying to use the UCC25600 LLC controller in my design. I have calculated all necessary components for the resonant tank, over current protection and the output voltage set point.When I try to run the file i get an error message as shown. What is it that I'm doing wrong?LLC Design.TSC

Hi Ricardo,

To run the test schematic we need to make few modification. In your TINA-TI schematic window, kindly go to Analysis--> Set analysis parameters. The following window will open.

Change the value of TR max. iteration number to 400 and TR max. time step to 20n as shown above.

Also, change the transient analysis method to Use initial conditions as shown below.

Now click on OK to start simulation.

I changed the settings as you asked but I am still not able to get an output. I have no Opto Coupler connected to the RT pin of the UCC25600, I have tried to look for one in your library but it seems that you don't have any on TINA. I am using the TL431 as my shunt regulator.

Hi Ricardo,

You can use a current controlled current source (CCCS) as Opto Coupler in your schematic. Please refer to the following E2E thread for your circuit design.

Hi Arpan,

I have referenced the link you gave me and changed the parameters to my own and ran the transient analysis. My output is 4.9V instead of 5V. I suspect that it is due to the feedback loop of my design. I want to use the TL431, but am confused as to how to implement it in my design. I tried referencing the tl431 calculator but am still confused. Also, when applying a load resistor, I am unable to get my desired output current of 10A. Any ideas why that is?

Hi Ricardo,

Could you please check the following?

1. I do not see the output regulated at 4.9V. Could you please update the test schematic properly and get back to us?

2. Why do you want to use TL431 device? Why cannot we make the connection as below?
