WEBENCH® Tools: Delete WEBENCH designs

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65400

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hello TI support;

 I want to delete several WEBENCH designs I created since those are useless and were created not knowing those are stored in "myti".

 How can this be done?

Regards;

Luis Guevara

  • Luis,

    One way is to lookup the design(s) under "My Designs" within WEBENCH power designer tool and delete them using "Delete" button. Please find a screenshot below for your reference. I could not find a bulk delete of designs.

    Regards,

    Amod

  • Thanks for your reply.

    The screenshot you sent is from the new version of the WEBENCH that does not support the TPS65400, besides when I open this "new" WEBENCH it does not load any of my designs.

    I could delete the designs in the "old" WEBENCH, but these designs still appear in "myti" website, how do I delete them from there?

    Regards;
    Luis
  • Hi Luis,

    Thanks for the reply. You are right - TPS65400 is only accessible in the older Flash version of the tool. We treat most multi-output designs as a WEBENCH project and each of the channels/outputs have an individual design. So, what you see in the "My Designs" are the 4 output designs for individual channels and the main design just below the 4 channel designs. I was able to delete these 5 designs under "My Designs" from Flash tool and I no longer see them under "myti" website. Can you please confirm if you deleted all 5 designs (4 individual channel + 1 main design) and if you are still able to see them under "myti"? It can take a few minutes for the "myti" site to reflect the changes.

    Despite I erased all of my designs from "WEBENCH", I still see ALL my designs in "my ti", how do I delete them?

  • Hi Luis,
    We are currently looking into this.

    Gerold
  • Hi Luis,
    We've fixed the issue. Please try again.
    Thanks!
  • Hi Luis,
    We've fix the issue in our database. All your designs should be deleted right now. Please try again and let us know if you still see problems. Thanks for reporting the issue to help us improve the tool.
  • Ok, all my designs are deleted in "myti" and in WEBENCH, by the way I asked for why the designs I deleted in WEBENCH still appeared in MYTI, I did not ask for you to erase my designs, but that is ok. Basically, I think WEBENCH and MYTI should be in synch.

    However there is still no way to delete the projects in MY TI nor in WEBENCH, how can I do that?

    Regards;
    Luis
  • Hi Luis,
    We are still investigating the root cause. Most likely there are some system glitch that the update process to our database didn't go through. Yes, you are right. Webench and MYTI are actually in sync. That's why when the delete process didn't succeed, you can see the designs in both Webench and MYTI.

    As far as I know, there is no way to delete the project from Webench. But we could delete the data from our database so it won't show up in either Webench or MYTI. Is that what you want?
  • 1- Yes, I want to delete some projects.

    2- Why don't you add the capability of deleting projects? It just makes sense being able to delete them.

    3-What is the real usage of having Designs and Projects, why not only projects?

  • Hi Luis,

    1. Please let us know which projects you want deleted and Ning can take care of it.

    2. Agreed. But, at the moment, we are not planning any updates on the Power Architect tool. We will take this into account if and when we update the tool. Thanks for your feedback.

    3. We use projects for Power architect tool and designs for Power designer tool. Every project usually consists of multiple designs, one for
    each output.

  • Hello Amod;

     Basically, I want to keep these 3 projects:

    TPS65400 PMU 4-4-1-1
    TPS65400 PMU 4-4-0.5-0.3
    TPS65400 PMU 2.5-2.5-1-1

    Please delete the rest.

    Regards;

    Luis

  • Hi Luis,

    This is now done. You should only see 3 projects now. Please let me know if any more questions.

    Regards,
    Amod
