TINA/Spice/TINA-TI: TINA/SPICE add temperature behavior

Hi E2E team,

I am actually trying to simulate a LEDs behavior in function of the temperature : I am actually testing device between -40C° and 140 C° (

Run Analysis -> DC Analysis -> DC Transfer Characteristic -> Set Input to “TEMP” & Sweep from -40V to 150V (1V = 1 deg C).

The thing is I'd like to test LEDs forward voltage, and use it in my circuit. But the LEDs that I am currently using are not available in the libraries. I'd like to know if it is possible to create it, or rather take another red LED and add it behavior in temperature through an excel file for example ? As I am looking to simulate mine, i really want to create my own (Vf vs Temp) curve on an LED.

Any suggestions ?

Hi Vivek,

I tried to use this LED : LR G5AP , see the link docs-emea.rs-online.com/.../0900766b8149929d.pdf .
I wasn't able to find this model as it is not made by TI.

Hi Florent,

There are couple of ways which may work:

1. You can try changing the parameters of available diode in TINA-TI to have similar characteristics as LR G5AP.

2. You can create your own model as per the characteristics available on the datasheet with the help of Model Editor in PSpice.

Hi Vivek,

I saw that there is different type of diode which already exist, and how to modify those parameters. Nevertheless, I can't find a way to fix by myself the curve Vf = f(T).
