Hi,

We are in the process of creating our own board for the AWR1243 using the reference design of the AWR1243Boost board.

We were wondering if we can program the Flash directly through the XDS110 debug probe. Also, since the XDS110 is an MCU, is there a place we can find the program that lets us download firmware onto the AWR1243 through the XDS110 MCU.

Hello Amon,
By "program the flash' do you mean flash the AWR1243 firmware to onboard serial flash ? If you are connecting the RS232 ports from the AWR1243 to the UART port of the XDS110 then this can be done using the Uniflash utility (processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Category:CCS_UniFlash)

Hi Vivek,

Yes, I meant flashing the AWR1243 firmware to onboard serial flash. Since the XDS110 is an MCU, do we need to download any program onto the MCU before using Uniflash? If so, can we do this using the debug probe or how would you recommend we do it?

Hello Anon,
No program is needed for the XDS110. You just need the driver on the PC which is available in the emupack (downloadly online).
