Hi,

I made some minor modifications of your reference design of the Load switch TPS22963 (TPS22963C TINA-TI Reference Design) where it looks as if the capacitor CLOAD2 discharges through the output of the TPS22963 when the switch is turned off.

But the TPS22963 shouldn't have the fast discharge as the TPS22964 has.

Have I misunderstood something?

Hi Pontus,

You are correct TPS22964C has the Quick Output discharge compared to TPS22963C.
I will check TINA models and get back to you.

Hi Pontus,

We have checked the TINA model and it seems there is a bug in the TINA model. As pointed out by you, there should not be any quick discharge path, output should only discharge through the load resistor. We have modified the model and below are the results.

VOUT2 discharges very slowly as load resistor is very high. Please let us know your comments.
