Since you did not provide a part name, I assume the CTLE you mentioned is referring to the equalizer setting.

Let's take the DS110DF1610 as an example. The CTLE_SELECT has 0 to 63. You can run simulations for each of the settings,

and compare their eye-height and eye-width.
