choosing of full bridge gate drivers

Hi, i am here to put a question for you peoples who can help me exactly, .......

Actually i am trying to make the DC/DC converters using full bridge topology for the higher power rating, my input supply is single phase 230V/50HZ.

right-now i dont have ideas about gate drivers for full bridge method, but i am clear in the concept-wise switching which the four drives will works with sequential propagation delay for each power mosfet.

if ex. we take power MOSFET as 600V/ 30A or power IGBT as 600V/30A, connected in full bridge setup and the switching transformer is 3KW power rating and switching freq is optimum as kHz and above, so can anyone please suggest me some ideas about this topology and about gate drives  which means how can i achieve the variable delay for each gate drives as some propagation time delay with proper working control systems.

also please suggest me what kind of the IC's will be used for this setup which is driver IC, PWM generator IC, and gate driver IC in made of TI itself.

i hope this will understand for you guys, so i am eagerly waiting for those peoples kind suggestions.

  • Hi Karthick,

Thank you for your question. I work on the applications team in the high power drivers group.

Can you please tell me more about what this project is for? We have many reference designs available here, which might be of interest to you. These reference designs should give you a good head start on your design. Feel free to come back and provide more information so I can help you more.
