TIDA-01093: Programming connector for U2 or how to programme U2

Part Number: TIDA-01093
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ76940

Hi ,

Am going through the schematic for TIDA-01093 , in it am unable to find connector, using which, one can burn code in MCU, please help to get it.

Also wanted to know , if firmware of the same is available or not, please share if present.

Thanks

  • Hi Rohit,

J2 connect to the MCU pins to load firmware. The MSP430 can communicate through JTAG pins (P1.4-P1.7) or through SBW (SBWTCK, SBWTDIO). For questions specific to the MSP430 and all of its support and debug tools, you will need to create a separate thread specifying MSP430 in the title so that it goes to the correct experts. However, I think you will find there are plenty of good resources online to learn how to write and load code for this device.

There is no firmware provided for TIDA-01093. I have looped in the person who designed this board - I think they may be able to share some very basic example code. He will contact you privately since this would not be published code and should not be used as is.

There is example code for the BQ76940 (not specific to TIDA-01093) available here: http://www.ti.com/product/BQ76940/toolssoftware

    Best regards,

    Matt
