I have the same issue. the activation key link didn't work in Internet Explorer. Pasting the link in Chrome, I got the activation code. <Ctrl>C, <Ctrl>V into the activation key window returns
"Activation Key Invalid". Verified all digits copied & pasted. Needed to enter my corporate sign-in password to run with elevated (administrator) privileges.
Unfortunately we were not able to reproduce / resolve the issue you are facing with Allegro connector. This is a legacy add-in with no active development / support roadmap. If you can share your use case for Allegro connector we may be able to help you with any alternate tools / methods which can help you continue your designs.
