TI Cloud Agent macOS Catalina 10.15

Hi,

TI Cloud Agent doesn't work on macOS Catalina 10.15. When trying to instal TI Cloud Agent I get the following message:

“ticloudagent” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.

Anyone know if there is there a work around?

Thanks,

Basim

  • Hello Basim,

Several TI product families use the TI Cloud Agent.
In order to send your query to the correct team, please let us know which TI devices you are needing the Cloud Agent for.

    Thank you very much.

  • Ed,

When I for example go to: https://dev.ti.com I get a notification saying "For the Best Experience Install TI Cloud Agent exertion so we can detect your device". After clicking TI Cloud Agent (ticloudagent.dmg) I try and install it on my Mac it fails to install giving me the following pop-up (also attached screenshot below):

"ticloudagent” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.

  • Basim,

Unfortunately there is no workaround to use the TI Cloud Agent on Catalina at this time. Sorry.

Technically speaking, the increased security imposed by this new version requires additional work on the backend to properly certify (notarize) all its components.

This is reported in the bug number TICLD-3065. Its status can be verified in the link SDOWP in my signature below.

    I apologize for the inconvenience,

    Rafael

  • Thank you for your answer. I'm experiencing the same problem. Time to switch back to Windows!
