TIDA-010042: Battery Charging

Part Number: TIDA-010042

Hi,

The Design TIDA-010042 while testing,we have faced the following issue.

We are connected the Battery at a voltage of 12.1V and applying the Panel Voltage of 13V-14V, at this stage Battery is charging with a Current of 0.4A to 0.5A.

Later if we increase/decrease the Panel voltage(with a variation of  0.2V to 0.5V) then it exit from the charging mode and also increase the Panel voltage Linearly.

Thanks & Regards

  • Hi Gangadhar,

We have noted that there is an issue with the current software while the circuit is operating at low currents. As pointed out in another thread, this design is more suited for large capacity batteries. However, we have done more work on improving the software, and will be releasing an updated version soon. Meanwhile, you can get in touch with your TI sales contact to get this version before release.

    Regards,

    Salil
