WEBENCH® Tools: Webench identification

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

How do I identify if my designs at ti.com are webench classic or not.  When I go to my account I see the following:

Is this classic or not?  Are these designs flash based?  The header doesn't say "classic" or "flash"

  • Hi Kenneth,

Majority of your existing designs created in WEBENCH Classic  will now be opened in  new WEBENCH Power Designer (HTML).

Kindly refer the link mentioned below for more details.

    Thanks and Regards,

  • You say a majority of my existing webench classic will now open in new...

Does this mean that all of my designs are webench classic or just some?  How do I tell which designs are classic?

I see instructions for classic designs needing to be saved, but now you say most will open in the new tool.  With or without the requisite process explained online?

I've been asking how to tell what is classic and what is not.  The website just says webench.  "webench" exists in the name of both the old classic and in the new web based tools.  How do I tell what is what?  I just click on a link and a tool runs.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Kenneth,

All Webench designs created previously be it created in flash or new power designer ,will now open in new power designer only.

Not all the WEBENCH designs created in flash will be supported in Power designer.

Kindly refer  WEBENCH Power Designer e2e post for complete list of supported and discontinued product categories and tool features.

We cannot distinguish now if design was previously created in flash or new power designer. However if design was created after June 2018, it will mostly be

in HTML.Kindly refer the link mentioned below for detailed information

    Thanks and Regards,
