Hello,

I was wondering if someone can help me to figure out the ADC channel of 'TIDA-00915' for firmware development. Which ADC channels are used to sense the current from the load/motor in the converter?

Hi,

Thanks for the question. TIDA-00915 does not provide current feedback. However, please refer to TIDA-010059 - this is a very similar design to TIDA-00915 and it provides current feedback to ADC channels A0, A1 and A3.

Hi Siva,

Thank you for your response. However, I only have the product TIDA-00915. So how did you do the testing for the product as per the documents? Is it a open-loop test?

Hi,

Please refer to the current sensing section of TIDA-010059. It is very similar to the one you have in hand. Current feedback is in to A0, A1 and A3 channels of C2000 ADC.

Sorry for the confusion. So TIDA-00915 does have current sensing feedback which is in A0, A1, and A3 channel?

Hi,

The sample board you have is a different revision of TIDA-00915. It has current sensing similar to TIDA-010059 except that external reference is from resistor divider instead of ref IC. However, the feedback is into A0, A1 and A3 channels as in TIDA-010059.

Also, please check if the TMCS1100(hall effect current sensors) ICs are populated. If not, please order samples at http://www.ti.com/product/TMCS1100/samplebuy and populate for current feedback.
