PMP10195: Combining PMP10195 with TIDA-00173

Hi,

I'm trying to customize PMP10195 reference design, but I find the startup circuit expensive with the use of the MOSFET Q3: STP3N150. Looking into the reference design TIDA-00173, it seems a cheaper approach to use the LMS33460MG/NOPB with a low cost FET. Do you suggest it is okay doing this move? This will also involve using UCC28711D instead of LM5020MM-2.

    Hi Xavier,

    As you know there are many ways to solve a problem. Both reference designs have been built and tested, so I can assure you that either is an okay approach to take.

    It just depends on your specifications as to which one fits better, as each will have certain tradeoffs.
