Do you have some reference designs and SW algorithm to do the Regeneration?
Also would like to know about reference hardware design for regenerative braking.

Sunil,
Thanks for posting on the MD forum!
We have the following power supply reference design which supports regenerative braking: http://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-01505
Our DRV8353 and DRV8323 would work well for this power level but the algorithm would run on a C2000 processor. I will forward your post for their recommendation.
Please note that the post will not move but the C2000 team will be notified.

We dont have a 5KW design for regen braking. But the control loop should take care of that by default. As long as there is a way to suck the energy pushed into the dC bus out of regeneration, it is safe to do so.
The C2000 family of micro controllers is capable of controlling both motoring and regenerating functions of a motor drive. Pls visit the link below for more info.

This device will do the controls, and you need a power circuit/ voltage and current sensing circuit to interface to this MCU.
If the query is resolved, pls close the thread. thanks.
