TIDA-00317: External capacitive-Based Liquid Level Sensing

Hi,
I need to measure the level of water from outside the container, in order not to contaminate the inner part. Can the TIDA 00317 work if it is mounted outside the container or it has to be in contact with the liquid? If not, are there oher good alternatives?

Hello User, Thanks for posting your question.

The TIDA 00317 reference design utilizes our FDC1004 product. As per the datasheet in the application section 9.1 it does allow for contactless measurements. The reference sensor is provided as a guidance. The sensor design will change as per the container and the environment the measurements are expected in.
