Hello all,

I tried simulate the UCC5705 in webbech tool. But I am not able to find the same. I need to validate the response of the IC in my design through simulation for the board release. It will be helpful anybody share the simulation model (TINA format or unencrypted spice format or available format) of this pwm IC.

Hi Saand,

Unfortunately TI does not have a simulation model for the UCC25705 but similar functionality for simulation can be provided by the UCC38C43 device and it hasTINA and PSPICE simulation models available.

Hi Peter,

Alternative part UCC38C43 is current mode controller, but UCC25705D is voltage mode controller. Can you please clarify how spice model of UCC38C43 will help for UCC25705D based design?

Section 8.3.10 of the UCC38C43 datasheet describes how the device can be setup to run in voltage mode control.

Hopefully this will allow you to run the power stage and examine the power stage operation.

Yes, we too observed section 8.3.10 explaining about how to operate this PWM controller in voltage mode control.

We have completed the power stage operation and working to closed the loop with feedback compensation and voltage feed forward. We have compared the internal blocks of both the ICs which are completely different. Do you have any specific method to replicate the same characteristics of UCC25705D with UCC38C43? Can you please share if TI team done any simulation for UCC25705D using this part, it would help us.

Actually we are facing problem in closed loop in our system, thats why we need to simulate with same characteristic of UCC25705D. Also we can use the library of any of these PWM controller UCC25706,UCC35705,UCC35706 as the characteristics are same.

I do not see any PSPICE model for the UCC25706,UCC35705,UCC35706 devices either ?

Have tou found a model for these parts outside of TI?

We can understand that the model is not availabe with TI right now..

Can I ask, what is the procedure from Texas instruments if any of its component does not have a model when it is indeed urgent for the customer?

If you provide that, we can write directly rather in this forum.
