Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools
Hello expert,
In the past, WEBENCH will show the fail item if our condition cannot meet device spec, something like Tj is too high or Vin is too low...etc. But for now, I cannot find the fail item when WEBENCH simulation is fail. Only information shown in screen is to let us change input condition like below picture. May I know if there is anything fail item list if WEBENCH simulation is fail? Thanks a lot!

At first glance this looks like current limit hit. We will get back with more details. Please follow below steps to verify.
1. Click on below link. Enter the input conditions we need to verify and click on view design. (2.8-4.5-18-0.1)

2. Filter TLV61046 as shown below. We will be able to get the error why its failing. Hope this helps.

Hi Ann_Lien,
It’s a valid fail.As per Boost duty cycle equation Dboost=1-(Vin/Vout), for reported condition duty cycle is 84.5%.
Input current for reported condition is 0.645 A.As per datasheet considering worst case ,current limit of device is 0.68 A as shown in image below.
For reported condition peak switch current with input current and ripple exceeds current limit of 0.68 A.
