Would a PMP10214 work with a BQ24650 or BQ24450 in a 12 volt to 12 volt battery to battery charger?

Hello Mo,
to answer your question I need input voltage range and output current;
PMP10214 is good for 300W+; but for such a high power conversion
you need eight FETs and a large inductor (= expensive).
Our LM5176 high power EVM is good for 100W+, may be 12Amps are sufficient.
For lead acid battery you need to implement CC/CV charging, so an additional
current regulation, similar to my PMP10081 - or use converter as voltage source plus BQ device:
If you want to go for PMP10214 use newer device LM5176;
if so set slope capacitor to 150pF and recalculate resistor to set Fsw;
then it'll work w/ newer device.
Best regards, Bernd
12 amps will probably be sufficient.
Power source is the alternator in my car, so input current is from 13-14.7 and current up to 130 amps.
Thanks for the answer.
