TIDA-00002: Lab 4 instruction not clear

Part Number: TIDA-00002
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SFRA, , C2000WARE, POWERSUITE

Hello,

I am currently testing the TIDA-02002 and referring the design guide Rev C. As per the design guide section 3.2.2.4.1, the instruction says select "Lab 3: Closed Loop:Current" under project options and select current loop under SFRA option. And after saving this, the Comp Number and Comp Style will automatically selected as 2 and DF22 respectively. But when I follow the above instructions, the Comp Number I am getting is 1.Can you help me understand why?

Another thing since I need to run lab 4, I should select Lab 4 under project options right? When I select Lab 4 and launch the Compensation Designer tool and select the SFRA data for current sweep from lab 1, the Comp type and the Coefficients do not match. Even the Loop at the bottom says Unstable Loop.

Can you please help me run the Closed Current loop lab for this design?

Thanks,
Abhishek

  • Abhishek,

I believe you have entered the wrong part number.

TIDA-00002 is related to an older high temp down-hole EVM and does not pertain to your questions.

I would recommend re-posting your question with the correct part number so it will get automatically directed to the correct supporting team.

Unfortunately, I do not have ability to do with and have proper tracking.

Please click this resolved my issue for this post.

    Regards,

    Wade

  • Thank you for pointing that out, Wade. Appreciate it.

  • Abhishek,

Sorry for the issues you are facing, there seems to be an issue with the compensation design in the latest release.

We are looking at the issue, there are two alternatives in the meanwhile.

    1. Please use an earlier release of the solution, which is working as expected.

    C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_DigitalPower_SDK_2_00_01_00

which will require you to use an older CCS version , v8 or v9 but you may have to still install the compiler.

    2. Use the non powerSUITE version of the project, and proceed with Lab 4 checks.
