Hello,

I'm trying to recreate this design (TIDA-00311) but I'm looking for input. Instead of the reflective optical arrangement, I'm interested in the transmissive type. I tried to look around but didn't see anything that could help me. Any ideas on how I can do this?

    Hi AK,

    Welcome to TI E2E forum!

    Typically the optical sensors in the pulse oximeter cable are transmissive type.

    We do not have reference designs like TIDA-00311 for the transmissve type.

    But you may want to look at the TI EVMs AFE4400SPO2EVM or AFE4490SPO2EVM for transmissive type sensors. These are not form-factor designs like TIDA-00311.

    Hi Praveen! Thanks for the warm welcome!

    Yeah, I didn't see any transmission style sensors so I decided to ask. Are there transmissive type sensors available at all? If not, would it be a simple task to connect a probe (wires) to the TIDA-00311 reference design? I saw the designs that you sent and I definitely want to adapt the TIDA-00311 to my personal project but have transmission type sensor/probe hardware.

    Also, do you recommend Bluetooth and battery modules to add to the TIDA-00311?
