TIDA-00912: DC Current Shunt Sensor 200A

Part Number: TIDA-00912
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AMC1301, ADS7263, TIDA-00914

hey, i am asking about if this part has a built-in ADC or not

I need to get digital output how can I get it ?

  • Hi and thanks for your interest! The AMC1301 does not have any digital output. You would either have to add an external ADC - the data sheet recommends ADS7263 14-Bit ADC as a good example / starting point -  but TI has many more options, of course. Or, and that might be even much more elegant, you could take a look at our isolated sigma-delta modulators: AMC1305, AMC1306, ... and feed this into a SINC filter.

Without knowing any details of your application I could think that "TIDA-00914: Reinforced Isolated Phase Current Sense Reference Design with Small Delta Sigma Modulators" would be a good reference to start with (https://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-00914). TI's C2000 MCUs would offer the integration of such SINC filters.

    Best regards,

    Michael
