WEBENCH® Tools/TPS54331: Simulation error

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hello team,

 

Customer tried to simulate with the below condition but the error was occurred.

In their understanding, the below conditions would be ok on the datasheet.

 

Vin : 23V - 25V

Vout : 2V

Iout : 0.05A

 

Is The error seen due to limitation of WEBENCH ?

    Hi Michiaki-san,

    Please note that for the above condition the device is violating minimum ton condition.

    Please find the calculation below.

    minton of the device = 130e-9

    Dutycycle_min= 0.036

    fsw = 570e3

    Dutycycle_min/fsw = 63e-9 which is less than minimum ton.
