TI Team,

I'm fetching a LLC resonant controller for my design of power supply. design specifications is input : 390Vdc, 7A  output: 65Vdc, 40A.

Please suggest me which LLC controller will be suitable for my input and output.

    Hi Raja,

    For 2.6kW output, you will want a full bridge topology. I would suggest taking a look at UCC25600 in a full bridge configuration. Alternatively, you could also consider a phase shifted full bridge topology. You could look at UCC28951 if this topology is acceptable to you.

    Hi Ben Lough,

    That's great, according to the data sheet of UCC25600 its feasible for 100W to 1KW Power Supplies. will that be ok for my output

    can you please share me application note or reference design for same.

    your allowed to suggest me other solutions too.

    Hi Raja,

    100W to 1kW is the typical range for a half bridge LLC. I have seen cases where this controller was used for a full bridge LLC rated for 3.2kW however. UCC25600 is advertised as a half bridge controller so there is not much in the way of supporting material that we have readily available for designing this controller with full bridge LLC unfortunately. 

    Phase shifted full bridge is another topology that would be good to consider here and would be a good fit for your design requirement. This page contains some good supporting material to help with the power stage design procedure:https://www.ti.com/product/UCC28951-Q1#tech-docs.
